ILSF CEO Paul Hakim met with the managing director of Surf Life Saving Thailand, Vitanya Chuayuan, in Phuket, Thailand.
The island, one of Thailand's most popular tourist destinations, sports kilometers of iconic beaches with white sand along the Andaman Sea.
Chuayuan also is head of the Phuket Lifeguard Club, which provides lifeguard services and runs volunteer programs for the island's famed beaches, protecting locals and tourists alike.
Hakim and Chuayuan discussed insights into their respective surf lifesaving clubs. Chuayuan emphasized the importance of women and mothers within the ocean lifesaving community, due to their role in setting priorities for their children.
