Israel Surf Lifesaving Federation partnered with Ziv Neurim to teach surf lifesaving to hundreds of participants in its water-sports programs for at-risk youth.
ISLF volunteers traveled to the beaches of Acre and Hadera to work with groups of Ziv Neurim youth. Participants learned surf lifesaving methods with a surfboard and with life-saving tubes.
Ziv Neurim is a non-profit organization established in 2000 by former IDF Shayetet naval commandos. Trainers and coaches are Shayetet veterans as well as alumni of Ziv Neurim
The NGO offers marine activity and educational content for at-risk youth at eight marine centers throughout Israel, including in Acre, Ashdod, Hadera, Herzliya, Netanya, Palmachim, Tel Aviv.
Ziv Neurim's 83 groups of child participants learn water sports including surfing, SUP, giant SUP, diving and snorkeling, boating, kayaking and windsurfing.
