ILSF watches over swimmers at 68th Kinneret swim

The Israel Surf Lifesaving Federation was proud to be part of the water safety team at the 68th Kinneret swim sponsored by our partner Speedo Israel.

Our team of 16 lifesavers woke up before dawn in order to head out onto the beautiful waters of Lake Kinneret. There, volunteers got onto rescue surfboards in order to watch over the more than 8,000 participants in the annual open-water swim event and accompany them through the course.

ILSF volunteers aided some 10 people in critical need, and served as a friendly and reassuring presence for hundreds more who stopped to talk as they swam their way across the southern point of Lake Kinneret.

The Israel Life Saving Federation thanks our partner, Speedo Israel, for the wonderful organization and looks forward to seeing the swimmers there next year!
