ILSF is based on the Australian Life Saving model and includes the iconic Nippers water safety program for youth between 7 - 15 years that has been in operation in Australia for more than 50 years and has over 70,000 children participating each year.

The Nippers program is an informal education program that teaches water safety management and various rescue techniques to assist in saving lives.

The program is a weekly program run during the summer vacation as well as special events and camps throughout the year.

The children learn fundamental techniques to save lives like basic first aid, CPR, board and tube rescue, understanding currents, environmental beach awareness taught by certified instructors.
